Business Partner – Finance SBU

About the role

The Finance SBU is seeking a Business Partner to provide strategic financial and commercial guidance to its business units. You will act as a trusted finance advisor, delivering insightful analysis and supporting decision‑making across the bank.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the finance partner for designated strategic business units, delivering monthly management reporting packs on schedule.
• Analyse quantitative and qualitative financial performance, offering actionable insights to senior management.
• Support the formulation of strategy, business growth initiatives, and projects with value‑added financial analysis.
• Prepare annual budgets for assigned SBUs, incorporating business drivers and external economic factors.
• Define and monitor financial KPIs, assessing performance against targets.
• Design and execute cost‑allocation methodologies aligned with commercial and operational drivers.
• Collaborate closely with the Financial Planning & Analysis team and other finance functions to drive continuous improvement in reporting and performance management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Management, Banking or a related discipline, or a professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA or CIMA.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in banking, finance, audit, consulting or financial advisory.
• Ability to translate complex and sometimes contradictory information into clear, practical recommendations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adapted to diverse audiences.
• Strong decision‑making, adaptability and confidence when engaging senior leaders.
• Effective planning and prioritisation to meet commitments.
