Carpenter – Hotel Maintenance

About the role

The hotel seeks a skilled carpenter to maintain and enhance all wooden and timber elements across public areas, guest rooms and back‑of‑house spaces. Working on a pristine coastal site, the role combines routine repairs, new‑item fabrication and decorative projects to support the hotel’s high‑standard hospitality experience.

Key responsibilities

• Construct, repair and maintain wooden furniture, doors, windows, frames, locks, curtain rods and related fittings.
• Install and refurbish ceiling boards, gypsum and plaster ceilings, partitions, notice boards and racks.
• Carry out carpet, wallpaper, tiling and minor masonry work, including varnishing and painting of surfaces.
• Fabricate new furniture pieces and polish existing items as required.
• Maintain inventory of carpentry supplies and record daily work performed.
• Respond to fire‑alarm or other emergencies and perform general odd‑job tasks.
• Collaborate with supervisors and other tradespeople, attend hotel‑wide training and ensure a clean, safe work environment.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in carpentry and hotel or hospitality maintenance.
• Ability to follow work orders accurately and complete tasks efficiently.
• Willingness to cooperate with supervisors and other staff levels.
• Commitment to maintaining equipment and work areas in excellent condition.
