Chef De Partie – Night Shift

About the role

The Chef de Partie will work the night shift in a luxury hotel kitchen on the south‑eastern coast of Mauritius. You will support the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in preparing high‑quality dishes while maintaining strict hygiene and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and plate dishes according to recipes, photos and set standards.
• Assist with breakfast M.E.P., clear and store leftovers, and ensure all food is covered before refrigeration.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and sanitized work area throughout the shift.
• Report equipment malfunctions and ensure all tools are in good working condition at the end of the shift.
• Train subordinate staff on daily duties and support other kitchen departments when needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent and a culinary qualification.
• Minimum 2 years experience in the hotel industry, with at least 1 year in a similar position.
• Fluent in English (additional language a plus).

Required skills

• Proficient use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and tools.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation and best cooking practices.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and multitask.
