Chief Accountant

About the role

The Chief Accountant will lead the hotel’s finance and accounting function, reporting to the Financial Controller. This senior position oversees financial reporting, management accounting, budgeting and forecasting, ensuring accurate and timely financial information for decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements and consolidate quarterly and year‑end management reports.
• Develop and maintain budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Review and approve all payment transactions, including reimbursements, vouchers and checks.
• Oversee balance‑sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of account balances.
• Assist the Financial Controller in managing overall finance operations and deputise during their absence.

Required profile

• ACCA qualified or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience within the hospitality industry.
• Experience in internal auditing is an advantage.
• Strong organisational and management abilities with a focus on detail and analytical thinking.
• High integrity, reliability and the capacity to inspire and lead a team.
