Claims Handler – Motor Insurance

About the role

City Brokers Ltd is looking for a Claims Handler – Motor Insurance to join its Claims team, reporting to the Team Leader – Motor Claims. You will manage assigned motor insurance claims from notification through to settlement and closure, ensuring efficient follow-up and professional client support.

Key responsibilities

• Register and administer motor claims, verifying policy details and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with insurers, assessors, garages and repairers to keep claims progressing on time.
• Keep clients informed and guide them clearly through the claims process according to internal service standards.
• Follow up on assessments, repairs, settlement decisions and payments.
• Maintain accurate claims records and prepare routine status reports.
• Escalate complex claims, disputes, complaints and suspicious cases appropriately.
• Comply with company procedures, regulatory requirements and confidentiality standards.

Required profile

• HSC or equivalent qualification; preferably 2-4 years of experience in insurance claims handling, motor insurance or related insurance operations.
• Familiarity with motor insurance products, policy conditions and claims procedures.
• A relevant diploma, tertiary qualification or progress towards a recognised professional insurance qualification is an advantage.
• Strong client-service orientation, excellent organisation and attention to detail, sound judgement and integrity.

Required skills

• Experience with insurance systems or claims management platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
