Credit Controller

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Credit Controller to join Africa Specialty Risks Ltd’s Credit Control team. You will work closely with the Finance department and various internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely credit management and support the company’s growth across Africa and the Middle East.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Credit Control team with daily activities, providing administrative support to improve efficiency.
• Maintain and monitor the Credit Control team timetable and Outlook inbox, assigning tasks and tracking overdue items.
• Prepare, issue, and distribute debit notes and statements of account.
• Schedule internal and external meetings and facilitate communication with relevant parties.
• Organise and maintain credit control folders, ensuring data, reports, and process manuals are up‑to‑date and transparent.
• Provide ad‑hoc support to the wider Finance and Credit Control teams as required.

Required profile

• Experience in administrative support or personal assistant roles.
• Good understanding of credit control processes (advantageous but not mandatory).
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with team members, managers, and third‑party contacts.
• Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
