Data Engineer

About the role

RAPP Mauritius is seeking a Data Engineer to join its award‑winning team. You will design, build and maintain data‑warehouse components and scalable pipelines that support the agency’s data‑driven marketing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate business needs and build algorithms or prototypes.
• Design, develop and support ETL processes, databases, reports and reporting environments.
• Conduct complex data analysis, organize raw data and produce actionable reports.
• Identify data acquisition opportunities and develop analytical tools.
• Collaborate with data scientists, architects and other stakeholders on multiple projects.
• Consolidate, optimize and document data‑warehouse infrastructure.
• Monitor, tune and analyze database performance; perform root‑cause analysis of production issues.
• Design, automate and launch scalable, reliable data pipelines into production.

Required profile

• Experience with data models, data mining and segmentation techniques.
• Proficiency in SQL database design.
• Hands‑on experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
