Data Scientist (M/F/X)

About the role

Valuement, an international consulting firm within the Mantu Group, is seeking a motivated Data Scientist to join its Data Factory team in Mauritius. You will work on end‑to‑end data projects, turning raw data into actionable insights for internal and external clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full data analysis lifecycle: discover, convert, enrich, design, analyze and develop algorithms.
• Identify patterns and trends in large, complex datasets.
• Collaborate with the Data & Business Analysis (DBA) team to gather requirements and align solutions with business needs.
• Report findings and progress to the manager and stakeholders.
• Develop and deploy automated data‑analysis solutions across multiple countries.
• Ensure data quality before delivery to clients.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Information Technology (or a Bachelor’s in Computer Science).
• Strong analytical mindset with a problem‑solving orientation.
• Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, thorough work.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SQL and experience with RDBMS such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL.
• Programming experience in Python and/or R.
• Ability to work with large and complex datasets.
