Digital Finance Transformation Consultant

About the role

EY Mauritius is recruiting consultants for its Finance Transformation team, part of the Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) practice within Assurance. The team supports clients in modernising their finance function through AI, automation, analytics, data platforms and emerging technologies. The role suits people who understand CFO and finance team challenges and want to use technology to improve finance processes, decision-making and agility.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse current-state finance processes, systems, reports, data and pain points
• Identify improvement opportunities across finance operations, reporting, analytics, automation and controls
• Translate finance challenges into practical technology-enabled solutions
• Support dashboards, reports, analytical models, automation workflows and process documentation
• Prepare client presentations, workshop materials, process maps, data analysis outputs, business requirements and recommendations
• Support diagnostics, benchmarking, opportunity assessments and roadmap development
• Work with senior team members and client stakeholders, and contribute to internal knowledge on AI, automation and digital finance

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in finance transformation, consulting, advisory, analytics, automation, data, digital transformation, audit transformation, finance operations improvement or related roles
• Experience supporting projects where technology, data, automation or analytics were key components
• Understanding of CFO and finance function challenges such as manual processes, fragmented data and slow reporting
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, STEM, Data Analytics, Information Systems or a related field
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CFA or CIMA is an advantage

Required skills

• Hands-on exposure to ETL tools, Python, Power BI, SQL and data management tools
• Fundamental understanding of Generative AI tools and practical examples of their use
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Ability to analyse data, structure findings and communicate insights clearly
• Advantageous: Python/PySpark, AI/ML concepts, automation tools such as VBA, UiPath and Power Automate, and exposure to R2R, P2P, O2C, FP&A, budgeting and forecasting
