English in Practice Program Facilitator

About the role

The English in Practice Program Facilitator will lead a 9‑week online English immersion experience for non‑native speakers at the African Leadership College of Higher Education. You will guide learners through 30 interactive sessions, provide mentorship during office hours, and help them build confidence in global communication.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 30 live online English immersion sessions per program cycle.
• Hold regular office‑hour meetings to mentor participants and support language acquisition.
• Collaborate weekly with the English in Practice team and the Academic Student Success Lead.
• Develop and maintain a resource bank for the program.
• Collect, analyse, and document attendance and engagement data.
• Manage program deliverables on the Canvas LMS.
• Safeguard student confidentiality regarding English proficiency.
• Represent ALCHE values and participate in brainstorming sessions to improve engagement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field with a TEFL/ESL qualification.
• High level of English proficiency.
• Commitment to safeguarding policies and zero‑tolerance for violations.

Required skills

• Experience using Canvas LMS.
