ESG Legal Intern

About the role

Greenalytics is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented ESG Legal Intern for a period of up to 9 months. The intern supports the legal and regulatory aspects of ESG advisory services, gaining practical exposure to ESG-related legal research and compliance work.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the ESG Project Lead and the ESG team in delivering ESG advisory projects, focusing on legal, regulatory and governance aspects.
• Conduct legal and regulatory research on ESG-related laws, regulations, guidelines and reporting obligations across relevant jurisdictions.
• Support the drafting and review of ESG policies, codes of conduct, governance frameworks and internal control documents.
• Help map regulatory ESG requirements and assess client compliance gaps against applicable laws and ESG standards.
• Contribute to ESG disclosures, the governance sections of sustainability reports and regulatory submissions.
• Monitor and summarise regulatory developments on ESG, sustainability, climate change, labour and corporate governance.

Required profile

• Student still completing a Law degree, Legal Studies or a related field.
• Strong interest in ESG, sustainability, corporate governance and legal compliance.
• Basic understanding of legal concepts and regulatory frameworks (preferred).
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Strong research, analytical and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
