Legal and IP Specialist

About the role

Azam, a diversified group active in FMCG trade and distribution, financial technology and media, is hiring a Legal and IP Specialist for its Mauritius entity. The position is full-time and based in Ebene, providing legal support across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Review and draft contracts, prepare legal documents and advise on legal risks and compliance matters.
• Monitor regulatory developments affecting PayTech, media broadcasting, electronic money, digital commerce and supply chains.
• Help design policies and procedures aligned with applicable laws.
• Manage the Group's growing intellectual property portfolio.
• Collaborate with internal teams, engage external legal partners when needed, maintain organized legal records and support dispute resolution and negotiations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Law or equivalent legal qualification; admission to practice or relevant certification is an advantage.
• Experience in legal consulting, advising internal stakeholders on legal risks and compliance.
• Ability to identify, analyze and manage legal issues related to digital commerce, supply chains and commercial transactions.
• Experience in commercial law, technology law or supply chain-related legal work is highly beneficial.
