About the role
First Island Trust Company Ltd (FITCO), a management company in Mauritius licensed and regulated by the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius, is looking for a Junior Legal Officer. The role supports the Legal Department and entities within the FITCO Group on a broad range of legal matters.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct legal research
- Draft and review legal documents
- Attend to legal queries
- Assist with corporate, Global Business and other commercial matters
- Assist with legal proceedings
- Undertake other legal work as required
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or an equivalent recognised legal qualification
- Knowledge of Mauritian corporate and commercial law, and the Global Business and financial services regulatory framework
- Previous legal, corporate, compliance or Global Business experience is an advantage
- Knowledge of the hospitality sector is an advantage
