About the role
The Junior Legal Officer will support the Legal Department and entities within the FITCO Group on a variety of legal matters, including research, drafting, and corporate issues.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct legal research on Mauritian laws, regulations, case law and regulatory requirements.
- Draft and review agreements and other legal documents, maintaining proper records.
- Assist with corporate, Global Business and commercial matters for FITCO Group entities.
- Support legal proceedings, liaise with external attorneys and maintain case documentation.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent recognised qualification.
- Knowledge of Mauritian corporate and commercial law and financial services regulatory framework.
- Experience in legal, corporate, compliance or Global Business environments is an advantage.
Required skills
- Strong legal research and analytical abilities.
- Ability to understand and review contracts and other legal documents.
- Capacity to work under pressure, independently and as part of a team.
