Facilities Officer

About the role

The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for the day‑to‑day maintenance and upkeep of SD Worx office facilities, ensuring a safe, functional and professional working environment. The role combines hands‑on handyman duties with preventive and corrective maintenance, and requires coordination with contractors, suppliers and landlords.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of office premises and identify maintenance issues.
• Perform basic handyman tasks and routine maintenance on electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Schedule, supervise and follow up on preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Obtain, compare and recommend quotations from suppliers and contractors.
• Coordinate contractor visits, supervise onsite work and ensure compliance with specifications, timelines and quality standards.
• Liaise with landlords for building‑related maintenance and repair requests.
• Support office projects and provide backup office support when required.

Required profile

• Experience in facilities or building maintenance.
• Ability to perform hands‑on handyman tasks and basic electrical, HVAC and plumbing work.
• Strong organisational skills for coordinating contractors, suppliers and maintenance schedules.
