Finance Director – Luxury Resort

About the role

The Finance Director will provide strategic and operational financial leadership for One&Only Le Saint Géran, a luxury resort in Mauritius. Reporting to the General Manager and working closely with the Executive Committee, Owners and the Global Office, the role is responsible for ensuring financial compliance, robust governance and value creation across all hotel functions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the entire finance function, guaranteeing accuracy and timeliness of financial information.
• Establish and maintain finance compliance processes, internal controls and governance frameworks to mitigate financial, operational, regulatory and reputational risks.
• Ensure full compliance with the Resort Management Agreement, including reporting, fee calculations and owner governance requirements.
• Act as the primary financial liaison with Owners and the Global Office, providing transparent communication and alignment with group policies.
• Implement IT procedures and system interfaces to support control and reporting requirements.
• Drive automation and standardisation of finance processes to improve data accuracy, productivity and insight‑driven decision‑making.
• Oversee inventory, purchasing, accounts payable, payroll, income audit and cash handling controls, escalating discrepancies as needed.
• Perform daily revenue reconciliation for all interface applications and prepare compliance reports.
• Manage cash flow planning, working capital and fixed‑asset register accuracy.

Required profile

• Proven experience providing strategic and operational finance leadership in a hotel or resort environment.
• Strong knowledge of finance compliance, internal controls and governance frameworks.
• Ability to act as a trusted business partner to senior management, owners and corporate offices.
• Experience with financial reporting, automation and system integration.
• Excellent analytical and risk‑management capabilities.
