FinOps Consultant – Financial Operations Specialist

About the role

The FinOps Consultant will support financial operations within FinChoice Africa, ensuring accurate back‑office processing, query resolution, and reporting. This role demands a reliable, detail‑oriented professional who can work across multiple financial processes while maintaining high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day FinOps processing activities in line with approved procedures and business requirements.
• Assist with payments, refunds, allocations, reconciliations and related back‑office tasks.
• Verify and confirm customer or transaction details by liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
• Attend to logged queries, investigate and resolve operational issues efficiently.
• Liaise with internal departments and external parties to obtain information or resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed, outstanding items and escalations.
• Prepare daily, weekly or monthly reports as required by the business.
• Ensure all work complies with internal policies, procedures, quality benchmarks and legislative requirements.
• Meet agreed productivity, quality, turnaround time and SLA targets.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills for effective liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet service level agreements and adhere to compliance standards.
