Fixed Asset and GL Accountant

About the role

The Fixed Asset and GL Accountant ensures accurate, timely, and compliant financial recording across key accounting processes, including fixed asset accounting, pricing management, accruals, provisions, and balance‑sheet reconciliations. The role supports strong financial controls within the ERP system and delivers reliable information for management review.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, reconcile it monthly with the General Ledger, and coordinate asset verification exercises.
• Manage capital expenditures: authorize, record per IFRS, reconcile in ERP, and submit monthly capex reports.
• Oversee Work‑In‑Progress accounting, ensure timely capitalization and closure of completed WIP.
• Review and post depreciation runs, ensuring accuracy and alignment with group policy.
• Update selling prices, discounts, and rebates in the ERP, enforcing proper controls and approvals.
• Post provisions, payroll journals, and accruals, maintaining correct GL accounts and documentation for audit.
• Close subsidiaries, joint ventures, and associate accounts, preparing monthly management accounts.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations, investigate unusual balances, and support deep‑dive reviews.
• Reconcile corporate credit‑card expenses and manage GL document archiving.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; ACCA qualification is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
