Head of Digital Assets and Emerging Technologies

About the role

The Head of Digital Assets and Emerging Technologies will lead the bank’s AI Center of Excellence and a newly created Digital Assets team. Reporting to the Chief Customer Experience Officer, you will shape strategy, drive execution, and ensure regulatory compliance across AI, blockchain, stablecoins and tokenisation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain a three‑year Emerging Technologies roadmap aligned with enterprise priorities and risk appetite.
• Lead the AI COE, setting strategic direction, operating model, backlog prioritisation and responsible AI governance.
• Build and scale the Digital Assets agenda, including custody, tokenisation, stablecoin propositions and ecosystem partnerships.
• Oversee governance, risk, compliance and regulatory engagement for the entire Emerging Technologies portfolio.
• Track value creation, report portfolio KPIs to senior leadership and board committees.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in AI, blockchain or digital assets within a regulated financial institution.
• Strong strategic vision combined with hands‑on execution capability.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with boards, regulators, business lines and external partners.
• Deep understanding of risk, model governance and regulatory requirements for emerging technologies.
