HR Coordinator - Home Healthcare Service

About the role

Médecin à Domicile (MAD), Mauritius's first private 24/7 home healthcare service, is looking for an HR Coordinator to take ownership of its people. The role works closely with the CEO and COO to align HR practices with the company's operational needs and growth plans, while building a workplace based on trust, accountability and teamwork.

Key responsibilities

• Run day-to-day HR operations in compliance with the Workers' Rights Act 2019 and internal policies, including employment contracts, job descriptions and employee records
• Apply disciplinary and grievance procedures consistently
• Manage recruitment end to end, onboarding, probation reviews and employee exits
• Manage leave, attendance and lateness for a 24/7 shift-based team and support roster management
• Run the performance appraisal cycle, identify training needs and coordinate staff development
• Support monthly payroll and prepare HR, headcount and payroll forecasts for the annual budget
• Report timely HR data, insights and recommendations to management

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Human Resources Management or a related field
• At least 3 years of HR experience in Mauritius
• People-first mindset with fairness, discretion and integrity
• Calm, solution-focused approach in a fast-paced environment
• Bonus: experience with shift-based teams or in the healthcare sector

Required skills

• Strong working knowledge of the Workers' Rights Act 2019, employment relations and HR compliance
• Hands-on experience with disciplinary hearings, grievances and payroll
• English, French and Kreol
