Human Resources Officer

About the role

The Human Resources Officer will deliver efficient, employee‑focused HR services across the hotel, supporting the full employee lifecycle from recruitment to separation while ensuring compliance with policies and Mauritian labour legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day HR administration, maintain accurate employee records and coordinate movements such as transfers, promotions and separations.
• Support recruitment activities, from vacancy identification through interviews, reference checks and onboarding programmes.
• Act as first point of contact for employee relations, handling grievances, disciplinary matters and promoting a respectful workplace.
• Monitor attendance, leave and absenteeism, preparing regular HR reports and dashboards.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of HR experience in the hotel industry, preferably in a luxury environment.
• Fluency in English and French with strong interpersonal and confidentiality standards.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Mauritius Labour Law and HR compliance.
• Proficiency in HR administration, payroll, attendance and leave management.
• Experience with HR information systems and strong computer skills.
