Human Resources Officer

About the role

The employer is looking for a team member to provide HR support, guidance and solutions for its employees, with a specific focus on supporting Mauritius. The role covers the full range of HR administration, from onboarding and recruitment to policy review and employee relations.

Key responsibilities

• Administer employee onboarding, offboarding and changes such as promotions, hours or salary changes, transfers and parental leave, and liaise with relevant departments
• Manage employee workspaces and ensure correct data retention and document storage under GDPR procedures
• Build and manage relationships with internal stakeholders, external parties and suppliers
• Monitor internal and external training, own HRDC applications, provide reports and understand qualification parameters and their impact on HR procedures
• Manage end-to-end recruitment, including liaison with candidates and agencies, interviews and feedback with line managers
• Review new hire, onboarding and exit data and discuss feedback with the business
• Deliver first-day inductions covering recruitment paperwork, health and safety procedures and introductions to key departments
• Review and update policies and procedures, help HR Administrators interpret them and recommend actions, and assist with employee relations
• Manage HR projects as required

Required profile

• Up to two years' experience in an HR Administration role
• Advanced administration skills, with a high degree of numeracy and literacy
• Excellent communication skills and customer care and service techniques

• Advanced IT skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
