Indirect Procurement Team Leader

About the role

The Indirect Procurement Team Leader will head the indirect procurement function for BIA Group in Mauritius, ensuring the efficient sourcing and purchasing of goods and services that support daily operations. You will act as the main liaison between internal stakeholders and external suppliers, driving cost optimisation and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and manage all indirect procurement activities, from requisition to payment.
• Collaborate with internal departments and suppliers to define requirements, source solutions, and guarantee timely delivery.
• Monitor supplier performance on quality, cost, and service, and address any issues.
• Negotiate contracts and support negotiations at appropriate levels.
• Continuously improve procurement processes, tools, and ways of working.
• Ensure accurate processing of purchase orders, contracts, and invoices in SAP.
• Lead, coach, and mentor the procurement team, conducting performance reviews.
• Provide training on sourcing practices and supplier management.

Required profile

• Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Management, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement or sourcing.
• Experience in supplier management, contract negotiation, or stakeholder management is a plus.
• Fluent in French and English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP ERP.
