Kitchen Helper / Driver

About the role

Join the team at Constance Le Chaland, a luxury resort on Mauritius' south‑eastern coast, as a Kitchen Helper and Driver. You will support food preparation, maintain kitchen hygiene, and transport food items between the back‑of‑house and the main kitchen.

Key responsibilities

• Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruits, and assist in ingredient preparation.
• Support chefs during meal preparation and service, including portioning and arranging food items.
• Drive the food truck to collect prepared dishes from the back‑of‑house and deliver them to the front‑of‑house kitchen.
• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans and sanitize work surfaces, floors and storage areas.
• Receive, store and organise food supplies, report shortages or damages, and assist with inventory checks.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene regulations and company policies.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety practices.
• Ability to follow instructions, work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
• Good physical stamina, reliable, punctual and hardworking.

Required skills

• Food Handlers certification (mandatory).
• Valid driving licence (mandatory).
