L1 Security Engineer – Frontline Monitoring & Support

About the role

Orange Business is seeking a full‑time, on‑site L1 Security Engineer to join its security operations centre in Moka. You will be the first line of defence, monitoring security alerts, performing initial triage and escalating incidents according to defined procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security events and alerts using SIEM and other monitoring platforms.
• Conduct initial analysis, triage alerts, and follow runbooks for incident response.
• Escalate incidents to senior security engineers as required and document all actions.
• Maintain accurate incident logs, contribute to dashboards and regular reporting for internal stakeholders.
• Support the operation and configuration of security tools, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and assist with the implementation of standard security controls.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, adhere to SLAs, and participate in continuous improvement of security processes.

Required profile

• Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, common threats and vulnerabilities.
• Understanding of network security components such as firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS and secure architectures.
• Basic experience or interest in application security and security engineering.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear incident documentation.
• Willingness to work shift‑based schedules and continuously learn new security technologies.
