Lead Specialist - Data Analytics & Reporting

About the role

The Lead Specialist - Data Analytics & Reporting is the Bank's technical expert for enterprise reporting, data engineering and analytics, providing hands-on leadership in the development, optimisation and support of reporting and Business Intelligence solutions. The role combines technical delivery with leadership, supports the modernisation of legacy reporting platforms, Enterprise Data initiatives, regulatory reporting and automation, and works closely with business and Technology teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain and optimise enterprise reporting, analytics and Business Intelligence solutions.
• Develop dashboards, management information, operational and executive reports using SAP BusinessObjects or equivalent BI platforms.
• Translate business, MIS and regulatory reporting requirements (XBRL, RBS, FATCA, CRS, SFX) into automated technical solutions.
• Ensure reporting outputs are accurate, timely and aligned with business and regulatory needs.
• Design and maintain Enterprise Data solutions, including ETL processes, data models and data marts, and optimise data integration workflows.
• Support large-scale data transformation and reporting platform modernisation.
• Maintain PL/SQL procedures, packages, functions, triggers, views and SQL scripts.
• Build automation solutions in Python, VB.NET, C# or Java, and custom applications, utilities and interfaces for data extraction, reconciliation, validation and reporting.
• Integrate databases, reporting platforms, Microsoft Office and enterprise systems, and analyse and document legacy reporting applications.
• Recommend reporting architecture and platform modernisation strategies, lead platform upgrade implementations and support strategic technology programmes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in enterprise reporting, application development, Business Intelligence or Data Engineering.
• Proven hands-on experience designing Enterprise Data solutions and leading major reporting or data transformation initiatives in a banking or regulated environment.
• Experience mentoring technical teams while staying actively involved in software development.
• Industry certification in Data Engineering is an advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL, PL/SQL, ETL, SAP BusinessObjects (or equivalent BI tools) and database optimisation.
• Application development in Python, VB.NET, C# or Java.
• Reverse engineering and modernising legacy reporting applications.
