Licensed Surveyor

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Licensed Surveyor to support a unique U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves conducting precise land, boundary and topographic surveys to enable construction, engineering and facilities operations in an austere overseas environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform land, boundary and topographic surveys using GPS, total stations, levels and digital data collectors.
• Prepare survey reports, maps, plats and documentation in line with Navy and Amentum standards.
• Verify existing site conditions, elevations and property boundaries to support project planning.
• Maintain accurate field notes, survey records and digital data files.
• Collaborate with engineers, planners and construction teams to ensure data accuracy.
• Maintain, calibrate and care for all surveying equipment.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of professional surveying experience.
• Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license or equivalent certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
• Valid passport (minimum one year beyond hire date) and ability to travel internationally.
• Ability to meet contract medical requirements and obtain necessary facility credentials.
