Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Ferney Spinning Mills Limited is seeking a proactive Maintenance Engineer to support the operation and reliability of its textile manufacturing equipment. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will play a key role in driving improvement programs across the factory.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for installation, operation, and maintenance of electro‑mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and industrial control systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues promptly, conducting root‑cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Assist in designing, testing, and deploying engineering solutions and maintain technical documentation.
• Monitor system performance, recommend improvements, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with maintenance, operations, production, and IT teams to optimise processes.
• Support project planning, scheduling, coordination and help the Maintenance Manager with budgeting and specifications.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechatronic, Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in the textile or manufacturing industry is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to work effectively in a team.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to technical emergencies.
