Marathi Quality Assurance Lead (Remote Contractor)

About the role

This is an hourly, remote contractor position where you will act as the Marathi Quality Assurance Lead for AI training projects. You will ensure that Marathi content meets high standards of accuracy, cultural relevance, and consistency, directly supporting the improvement of large language models.

Key responsibilities

• Spot‑check Marathi items, identify quality issues, and provide feedback through Discord and other communication channels.
• Update trainers and QAs on new guidelines, project changes, and quality expectations.
• Respond promptly to questions about Marathi wording, register, cultural context, and edge cases.
• Activate inactive contributors, track follow‑ups, and flag availability concerns.
• Create and maintain project documentation such as style guides, FAQs, trackers, and onboarding materials.
• Run onboarding and training sessions for trainers and QAs, explaining rubrics and language‑specific requirements.
• Identify recurring quality gaps, propose workflow improvements, and help build scalable QA processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marathi, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Journalism, English, Education, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
• Native or near‑native Marathi proficiency with strong reading and writing skills.
• Strong command of English for following guidelines and providing feedback.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Marathi writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, or related workflows.
• Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, or QAs is strongly preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Discord for team communication.
• Experience using Google Sheets, Google Docs, and other collaborative trackers.
• Familiarity with project management systems and dashboards.
• Knowledge of AI training data annotation and large‑language‑model evaluation.
• Ability to apply rubric‑based quality assessment for Marathi content.
