Merchant Sales & Payments Analyst

About the role

The Merchant Sales & Payments Analyst supports the Team Leader in expanding the merchant portfolio by identifying, onboarding and nurturing new merchant relationships. You will help drive sales, meet revenue targets and ensure a high‑quality experience for internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Promote CIM payment solutions and related products to prospective merchants based on their business needs.
• Assist the Team Leader in executing sales strategies to achieve volume, revenue and profitability goals.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with new merchants to support sustainable growth.
• Identify cross‑selling opportunities with merchants and partners.
• Conduct basic profit‑and‑loss simulations to define appropriate commission structures.
• Engage merchants through new channels and go‑to‑market initiatives.
• Verify merchant documentation and ensure onboarding complies with KYC, AML and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive team environment.

Required profile

• A degree in Banking, Sales & Marketing or a related field.
• 3–4 years of experience in merchant acquiring, sales or business development, preferably in banking or fintech.
• Proven ability to generate leads, close deals and manage a sales pipeline.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Good understanding of payments and lending products.

Required skills

• KYC (Know Your Customer) compliance.
• AML (Anti‑Money Laundering) knowledge.
• Familiarity with card association standards.
