Office O&M Manager – Submarine Cables

About the role

Orange Business is seeking an Office Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Manager to support the Submarine Operations & Maintenance (SOM) team in Mauritius. The role ensures smooth operation, maintenance and contractual management of submarine cable assets and associated landing stations.

Key responsibilities

• Support SOM with O&M contracts, consolidate operational commitments for Orange’s Cable Landing Stations, and maintain documentation, specifications and process definitions.
• Define and organise Business Continuity Plans, KPI frameworks and regular reporting for the SOM team.
• Assist the SOM manager as O&M Steering Committee Chair, reviewing annual station expenditures, validating invoices, monitoring budgets and overseeing contract renewals and RFPs.
• Develop and coordinate Orange‑paid O&M services within consortiums, proposing solutions for DCN monitoring, NOC services and other RFP responses.
• Manage steering committee activities, dashboards and cross‑functional hand‑over processes with infrastructure, operations and France intervention teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in telecom or submarine cable operations and maintenance.
• Strong background in contract management, budgeting and cost review processes.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
