People Business Partner

About the role

The People Business Partner (PBP) will lead the People strategy and operations for Mubex and ABI Shared Services Africa, ensuring alignment with global and regional initiatives. You will act as a trusted advisor to line managers, driving HR processes that enhance talent acquisition, development, and employee engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the full spectrum of HR strategy in Mauritius, aligned with AB InBev values and guiding principles.
• Leverage data analytics to support decision‑making and build business cases for HR initiatives.
• Diagnose business challenges and design integrated People solutions.
• Monitor market trends and introduce innovative workforce technologies.
• Implement, monitor, and evaluate onboarding programs and employee experience initiatives.
• Lead employee engagement surveys, analyze results, and partner with leadership to improve scores.
• Guard People policies and procedures, ensuring compliance.
• Own People budget, managing headcount and cost controls.
• Recruit for critical competencies and align development plans with strategic needs.
• Coach line managers, develop their leadership capabilities, and manage direct reports.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of HR Generalist or people‑management experience with a strong performance record.
• Demonstrated leadership, business acumen, and ability to coach senior leaders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and partnering with multiple stakeholders.
