Processing Officer – Immigration Services

About the role

The Processing Officer is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Port Louis. You will manage immigration and visa application files from initial assessment through final submission, ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with regulations. The role also involves regular communication with clients to gather information, clarify eligibility, and provide status updates.

Key responsibilities

• Manage immigration and visa application files from assessment to submission.
• Verify that all documentation is complete, accurate, and meets regulatory standards.
• Communicate with clients to collect required information and explain eligibility criteria.
• Coordinate with internal team members and external stakeholders, updating case management systems.
• Prepare application forms, supporting documents, and track deadlines.
• Schedule appointments, prepare clients for interviews, and maintain organized records for reporting and audit purposes.

Required profile

• Strong administrative and organizational skills, including document management and data entry.
• Excellent communication ability to explain complex information clearly.
• Proficiency with office software and case management tools.
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Comfort handling confidential information with strict adherence to privacy standards.
• Relevant diploma or degree in administration, law, international relations, or related field (asset).
