Procurement Manager

About the role

The Procurement Manager will lead the sourcing and purchasing of raw materials, packaging, finished goods and other operational supplies for a leading FMCG company. The role focuses on cost‑effective sourcing, timely delivery and strong vendor relationships while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Identify, evaluate and select vendors based on quality, cost, delivery and reliability.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing and terms to achieve cost savings.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and monitor performance.
• Manage procurement budgets, drive cost‑optimisation initiatives and track KPIs.
• Collaborate with supply chain, production and logistics to ensure uninterrupted supply.
• Forecast material requirements, plan procurement schedules and minimise stock‑outs or excess inventory.
• Oversee store and inventory management, ensuring FIFO compliance and reducing waste.
• Lead a team of 10 procurement and freight service professionals.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards and legal regulations; prepare reports and dashboards for senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
• 5–8 years of procurement experience, preferably in the FMCG sector.
• Strong knowledge of sourcing, contract negotiation and vendor management.

Required skills

• Proficiency with procurement software.
• Advanced MS Office skills.
