Purchasing and Supply Chain Manager

About the role

Aldis Ltd, the operator of the Monoprix and Monoprix Maison banners in Mauritius, is looking for a strategic and driven Purchasing and Supply Chain Manager. The role will oversee the full supply chain for Monoprix, ensuring product availability, cost efficiency, and a high‑quality shopping experience for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end supply chain processes, including procurement, logistics, inventory, and distribution.
• Lead import operations, ensuring compliance with customs, tariffs, and all relevant regulations.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, brokers, and government ministries (Customs, MRA, Ministry of Agro‑Industry, Ministry of Health) to guarantee smooth import flows.
• Work with finance to establish accurate costings for imported goods.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers.
• Negotiate annual commercial agreements, rebates, pricing, and payment terms.
• Identify promotional opportunities with suppliers to enhance product assortment.
• Lead and develop a dedicated supply chain team, aligning them with company objectives.
