Quantity Surveyor – MEP Projects

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Quantity Surveyor to join Rey & Lenferna Ltd and support the financial and contractual management of our Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) projects. The role involves cost control, valuations and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget from inception to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit monthly payment applications and assist in final account negotiations.
• Value subcontractors’ progress and issue valuation certificates for payment.
• Produce reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessments and related documentation.
• Attend client and site meetings as required.
• Maintain and update variation registers for each project.
• Prepare contractual notifications, claims and follow‑up until determination.
• Apply FIDIC and other standard conditions of contract.
• Assess legal and financial implications and report to management.
• Monitor project costs to ensure budgets are not exceeded.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum three years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, safety compliance and standard forms such as FIDIC.
• Excellent communication, analytical and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with quantity surveying software.
• Familiarity with FIDIC contract suite.
