Regulatory Reporting & Finance Control Manager

About the role

The Regulatory Reporting and Finance Control Manager will lead the preparation of statutory financial statements and regulatory reports for two local HSBC banks. Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer, the role ensures compliance with IFRS, local accounting policies and regulatory requirements while maintaining a strong control environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare local annual reports and quarterly accounts for two banks in line with IFRS and local disclosure rules.
• Manage the period‑end close process, ensuring completeness and accuracy of all accounting journals.
• Maintain a robust control environment over financial reporting, reviewing internal controls and remediating exceptions.
• Liaise with external auditors and support statutory audit processes.
• Implement new accounting frameworks and regulatory changes in accordance with HSBC Group and local mandates.
• Provide ad‑hoc support for strategic projects as directed by the CFO.
• Complete mandatory Anti‑Money Laundering and sanctions training.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of banking‑sector accounting standards and IFRS.
• Experience with banking finance systems and outsourced processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in using technology to streamline finance processes.
