Risk Control Unit Manager

About the role

The Risk Control Unit Manager leads a team of analysts to ensure robust post‑credit‑approval monitoring and control. This role provides independent oversight of credit risk activities, guaranteeing that credit approvals, limit management, portfolio monitoring and post‑approval controls align with the Bank’s Credit Policy, Risk Appetite Framework, regulatory requirements and internal governance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and manage post‑disbursement monitoring, including covenant compliance, limit utilization and insurance expiry.
• Coordinate with Credit Risk, Corporate & Investment Banking, Legal and Credit Administration to ensure swift, accurate post‑approval processing.
• Oversee issuance of facility agreements and verify that all credit terms, security rankings and documentation are satisfied before disbursement.
• Maintain maker‑checker controls within the Risk Control Unit and monitor exposures in syndications.
• Lead and develop the Risk Control team, manage performance, and ensure Service Level Agreements are met.
• Prepare regular risk reports, flag deviations, and escalate issues to senior risk and credit leaders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in credit risk monitoring, post‑approval controls and risk reporting within a banking environment.
• Strong leadership and team‑development capabilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior credit, legal and regulatory stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical mindset with a focus on compliance and governance.
