Sales and Service Technician

About the role

The Sales and Service Technician is a full‑time, on‑site position in Mauritius supporting Autotrak’s vehicle fleet management solutions. You will install, configure and maintain telematics and GPS tracking equipment, while providing technical assistance and sales support to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and test tracking and telematics devices in customer vehicles.
• Perform diagnostics, basic electrical repairs and routine maintenance of in‑vehicle hardware.
• Provide on‑site and field support, respond to service requests and document all work performed.
• Conduct product demonstrations and explain features and benefits to clients.
• Collaborate with the sales team on technical queries, gather customer feedback and help improve products and services.
• Ensure all installations comply with safety, quality and company standards.

Required profile

• Demonstrated technical skills in automotive electronics, telematics or GPS tracking systems.
• Hands‑on experience with diagnostics tools and basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Sales support experience such as assisting with product demos and identifying customer needs.
• Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams and installation guides with high attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel locally for installations and service calls.
• Organisational and time‑management skills to handle multiple service requests.
• Prior experience in fleet management or automotive service is an advantage.
• Relevant technical qualification or diploma in automotive, electrical or electronics engineering preferred.
• Commitment to safe working practices and adherence to company policies.
