Sampler – Water & Wastewater Collection

About the role

QIMA is seeking a reliable Sampler to collect water, wastewater and sludge samples on‑site for its QuantiLAB laboratory. You will drive a company vehicle to sampling locations, ensure proper handling of samples, and support basic vehicle maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Collect water, wastewater and, when required, sludge samples according to established methodologies.
• Record all sampling data on the appropriate forms, including environmental conditions and site identification.
• Transport samples safely to the QuantiLAB laboratory following company instructions.
• Drive the company vehicle responsibly, adhering to traffic regulations and maintaining a logbook of trips.
• Perform routine vehicle checks, minor on‑road repairs (e.g., tyre changes, puncture fixes) and schedule maintenance as needed.
• Execute official errands such as dispatching correspondence and ensuring proper receipt documentation.
• Apply health and safety procedures at sampling sites, while driving, and in the laboratory.

Required profile

• Valid and clean driving licence.
• School Certificate or Higher School Certificate.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience is advantageous.
• Willingness to work odd hours and public holidays.
• High integrity, professionalism and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
