Senior Accountant - Payments

About the role

Ocorian's Global Accounting team is looking for a Senior Accountant - Payments to join its Asset Manager Services business (Private Wealth & Corporate, Issuer Services). The role supports finance operations across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring treasury, payment and financial control activities run efficiently with strong governance and compliance. It offers exposure to international finance operations, banking relationships and process improvement, and includes mentoring junior colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and execute scheduled and ad hoc payments across multiple entities, currencies and banking platforms
• Ensure payments comply with internal controls, approval requirements and governance procedures
• Investigate payment queries, exceptions and reconciliation items with banking partners and internal stakeholders
• Support treasury operations and cash movement so payments are accurate and on time
• Contribute to month-end, quarter-end and year-end finance activities, including banking reporting, reconciliations and financial controls
• Support internal and external auditors on payment and treasury reviews
• Mentor junior team members through technical assistance, work reviews and knowledge sharing
• Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, performance reporting and stronger financial controls

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline; treasury, banking or payment qualifications are advantageous
• 3-5 years' experience in treasury, payments, accounts payable, finance operations or a similar environment, including high-volume payments across entities and currencies
• Strong understanding of banking operations, payment processes, financial controls, approval workflows, segregation of duties and payment governance
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and stakeholder management

Required skills

• Proficiency in ERP systems and online banking platforms
• Experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central and advanced Microsoft Excel considered advantageous
