Senior Accountant (Private Equity) - Asset Manager Services

About the role

Ocorian's Asset Manager Services division is hiring a Senior Accountant in Private Equity. The role takes ownership of a portfolio of clients and delivers accounting and financial reporting services across Issuer Services, Real Estate and Private Equity structures. It suits an experienced accountant who wants to deepen technical expertise while developing leadership skills, working with clients, auditors and colleagues across several jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, management accounts and accounting deliverables in line with accounting standards
• Handle reconciliations, financial reporting and client accounting across complex structures
• Review accounting records, reconciliations and VAT returns
• Support audit processes and prepare relevant documentation
• Contribute to budgeting, client reporting and accounting projects
• Maintain high-quality working papers and support junior colleagues
• Collaborate with colleagues across multiple jurisdictions and identify ways to improve efficiency

Required profile

• ACCA, ACA or equivalent professional accounting qualification, or relevant accounting, audit or financial services experience
• Experience in financial services, accounting or audit; exposure to Issuer Services, Real Estate or Private Equity is beneficial
• Ability to build strong relationships with clients, auditors and stakeholders
• Experience supporting and developing colleagues

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP; UK GAAP or other frameworks are an advantage
• Technical accounting, financial reporting and reconciliation skills
• Experience with accounting and fund administration systems; exposure to Efront, ViewPoint or Value Financials is advantageous
