Senior Audit Associate and Supervisor

About the role

EY RDS is hiring for its External Audit team at Senior Associate level. You will help clients meet their reporting requirements by examining their financial statements objectively and independently, and by discussing accounting and reporting matters with management and giving audit committees a clear perspective.

Key responsibilities

• Lead fieldwork, manage performance, coach and mentor junior team members, and keep engagement leaders updated on audit engagements
• Manage audit processes with due regard for audit risk and accounting technical matters, including revenue, financial instruments and income taxes
• Engage clients, give advice and identify areas for improvement in their business processes
• Share knowledge of market trends and processes to help junior colleagues grow
• Refer clients to colleagues in other teams to broaden business relationships

Required profile

• BCom Accounting CA stream, BCom Finance or equivalent, or any STEM degree
• ACCA or ICAEW affiliate or member
• 3 to 4 years of relevant working experience
• Proven experience as an auditor delivering external audit and assurance engagements, and experience leading planning, execution and reporting of audits
• Track record of developing and maintaining client relationships

Required skills

• Expertise in accounting frameworks (IFRS) and related financial reporting matters
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a collaborative approach to management
