Senior Client Accountant

About the role

Apex Group, a fund administration and middle office solutions provider founded in Bermuda in 2003, is hiring a Senior Client Accountant in Trianon, Mauritius, within its Corporate Solutions department. The role is permanent and involves working closely with a Senior Client Accountant on financial tasks for a portfolio of clients, including book-keeping and management accounts for Irish-incorporated SPVs.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements and annual reports where applicable, in line with IFRS, the Companies Act and other relevant GAAP
• Prepare and review management accounts (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual and ad hoc) and liaise with the client services team and administrators in Ireland so results are released on time
• Provide day-to-day financial reporting to a portfolio of clients in line with internal policies and procedures
• Liaise with auditors and regulatory authorities on accounting matters and keep clients informed about audit and accounting work
• Maintain accounting records systematically and manage a portfolio of entities
• Assist with ad hoc assignments and report to seniors within the required timeframe

Required profile

• Degree in accounting and/or finance, and/or fully qualified ACCA
• 5-7 years of relevant experience, preferably in accountancy with knowledge of IFRS
• Analytical, meticulous and detail-oriented, able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Good time-management, organisational and interpersonal communication skills
• Quick learner of new systems
