Senior Fund Accountant

About the role

Apex Group, a fund administration and middle office solutions provider founded in Bermuda in 2003, is looking for a Senior Fund Accountant. The role covers NAV reporting, financial statements and audit liaison for private equity or hedge funds, with overall responsibility for client relationships, inquiries and meetings.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review the NAV reporting pack for funds (private equity or hedge funds) according to client frequency requirements.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual account and financial statements at the frequency required by clients.
• Liaise with auditors to ensure audits are completed on time.
• Take part in transfer agency transactions as required.
• Handle client relationships, inquiries and meetings.
• Coordinate financial reporting data and requests with team members, and plan quarterly and yearly financial statement preparation.

Required profile

• Around 2 years of accounting experience in the fund industry is an advantage.
• ACCA qualified, or partly qualified, or an equivalent qualification.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills to meet tight deadlines, and willingness to put in extra hours.
• Good interpersonal communication skills; organised, accurate and eager to learn.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with fund accounting software (Investran, Efront, Paxus or Allvue) is an advantage.
