Senior IT Business Analyst - Financial Systems

About the role

This is an IT Business Analyst role, not a finance or financial analysis position. You will work with a banking client to enhance and evolve its financial and accounting information systems. You will gather business needs, analyse existing system processes, define functional requirements and turn them into specifications for new features, enhancements and solutions. As the main link between business stakeholders and IT teams, including developers and testers, you will support the implementation lifecycle from requirements definition and solution design through testing and deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyse business requirements from stakeholders
• Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications and user stories
• Act as the link between business teams and technical teams
• Collaborate with developers, architects, testers and project managers throughout the delivery lifecycle
• Support solution design, testing activities and User Acceptance Testing
• Ensure delivered solutions meet business expectations and requirements
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and systems

Required profile

• Degree in IT, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Banking, ACCA or a related field
• Proven experience as an IT Business Analyst, ideally supporting financial or accounting systems
• Fluent in French and English, written and spoken (mandatory)
