Software Developer – Workforce Management

About the role

Dayforce is seeking a Software Developer to join its Workforce Management team. You will help build next‑generation HCM solutions that enable organizations to track time, attendance and create intelligent employee schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy new features for the Workforce Management product.
• Maintain and enhance existing .NET applications and modernize legacy code.
• Build responsive user interfaces using React and TypeScript.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, implementation teams and fellow developers throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines, containerization and cloud deployments.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional experience with C# and modern .NET (6/7/8).
• Strong grasp of object‑oriented principles (SOLID) and asynchronous programming (async/await, LINQ).
• 1–2+ years developing UI with React and TypeScript.
• Proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, Web APIs, JSON and RESTful services.
• Solid SQL Server skills, including query optimization and indexing.
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP).
• Experience writing tests with xUnit/NUnit/Jest and understanding of security basics (authentication/authorization).
• Demonstrated use of AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) with measurable impact.
