Spa Receptionist

About the role

Constance Le Chaland, a luxury resort on the south-eastern coast of Mauritius, is looking for a Spa Receptionist. The role is key because it shapes guests' first impression of the spa and handles their reservations and related recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Consult with guests on treatment bookings and manage all booking-related telephone calls.
• Use Spa software to deliver flawless service and handle billing professionally.
• Serve welcome drinks and know their properties; recommend retail products linked to treatments and follow up on therapist product recommendations.
• Keep a daily log of visits and compile a client history after each guest leaves.
• Follow the Spa's SOPs and checklists, keep the work area clean and organised, and greet guests warmly with name recognition.
• Handle guest complaints calmly and professionally, and deal swiftly with accidents or incidents.
• Take part in management meetings and trainings, stay informed on resort activities and promote them, and communicate regularly with other departments.
• Maintain a healthy appearance and grooming according to company standards.

Required profile

• Middle or secondary education; additional training or certificates in the field are a plus.
• At least 1 year of experience in the hotel industry; proven experience in a top luxury resort is a plus.
• Fluency in English and another language, written and spoken; knowledge of a third language is a plus.

Required skills

• Good customer service and organisation skills.
• Good computer skills.
• Knowledge of Spa software and billing procedures.
