Strategic Financial Analyst

About the role

The Strategic Financial Analyst will support the business in financial analysis, forecasting, liability management, and strategic decision‑making. You will develop financial models, provide analytical insights, and help optimise the balance sheet within a financial services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning, including scenario, sensitivity, and stress testing.
• Analyse profitability, funding costs, and financial performance trends; support business case preparation and investment evaluations.
• Monitor funding structures, conduct liquidity and cash‑flow analysis, and evaluate refinancing opportunities.
• Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and management presentations; collaborate with Finance, Risk, Operations, and Business teams.
• Ensure data accuracy, contribute to automation of reporting processes, and document modelling assumptions.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or a related field.
• ACCA or CFA Level 2 (or equivalent) is an advantage.
• 4–5 years of experience in financial analysis, modelling, treasury or strategic finance, preferably in banking, leasing or lending.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and financial modelling capabilities.
• Knowledge of Power BI.
• SQL proficiency.
• Strong analytical and quantitative abilities.
