Subject Matter Expert - Payment & PowerCARD

About the role

ICPS is looking for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Payments and PowerCARD to work as a key resource within its production environment team, with exposure across multiple banks and systems. The role ensures end-to-end stability, operational excellence and efficient incident resolution in a complex, multi-environment PowerCARD landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the key point of expertise for PowerCARD across production environments, supporting multiple banks and system versions.
• Own production stability end-to-end, covering issuing, acquiring, switching and reconciliation flows.
• Handle complex incidents and critical issues, perform advanced root cause analysis (RCA) and drive resolution.
• Keep PowerCARD versions consistent and aligned, identifying gaps and managing version-specific constraints.
• Validate and control production configurations, parameters and interfaces.
• Lead incident, problem and change management processes (CAB) so that production impact is kept to a minimum.
• Define and enforce runbooks, support procedures and operational standards across environments.
• Support project-to-production transitions and ensure operational readiness at go-live.
• Identify risks, inconsistencies and improvement areas and contribute to knowledge sharing and team upskilling.

Required profile

• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in the payments and card processing domain.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end transaction flow (authorization, clearing, settlement).
• Good knowledge of PowerCARD (issuing, acquiring, switching, reconciliation) and the payment ecosystem (Issuer, Acquirer, Scheme).
• Experience in production support, incident management and root cause analysis.
• Client-focused professional with experience in SLA management and stakeholder communication.
